All faculty, staff and students have access to MyApps, which allow the user to use SU-licensed software packages such as Minitab and SPSS from anywhere, using either an installable application or through the web. You can reach MyApps at https://myapps.salisbury.edu using any web browser. From there, you have two ways to log in and access SU-licensed software.

The Full (Client) Version

If you want the full version of MyApps, you'll need to download and install the VMWare Horizon Client. This will give you access to not only your P drive and other SU network drives, it also allows you to work with local files on your personal computers hard drive or attached USB drives.

Install the client

To use this version, go to the login page at https://myapps.salisbury.edu and scroll down until you see the Download option. Alternatively, you can go here and choose the download for your operating system: https://my.vmware.com/en/web/vmware/info/slug/desktop_end_user_computing/vmware_horizon_clients/4_0.

Once you've downloaded your installer, follow these instructions to install the client. You'll need to restart after the installation is complete.

Configure the client

Once you've installed the client and restarted, you'll need to configure it. Open up the VMWare Horizon Client and follow the instructions here: Connecting to MyApps (Now Called Workspace).

Working with Files

Now that you've installed and configured the client, you can now use the SU-licensed software on your own computer or device. By default, the "Documents" folder is actually your P drive, however you can still access files that are on your personal computer. See the How to Open and Save Files Using MyApps guide to learn how to access your local files.

The Light (Web) version

If you don't want to install the client onto your computer, or are unable to do so because of security or other restrictions, you can still access MyApps by logging in at https://myapps.salisbury.edu. It will run a little slower, and you won't have access to your local drives and files like you would with the full version, but it is a quick alternative if you just need to work on some files you have saved already on your P drive.
