Sonia Field Placement Software has a client component that is used by approximately 12 users ( Field Coordinators ) in the Social Work department.  This may expand to other departments over time.

Authentication

The Sonia client uses domain authentication.  Client users must also be defined inside the Sonia application in order to use the client software.  This user setup is done by the Social Work department (Traci Johnson).

If you are on-campus and signed in to your computer with a valid account, the Sonia Client should log you in automatically.

If you are off-campus, login with your SU Username, and be sure to leave the "Domain" field set to "salisbury" which is the default.

Authentication Errors

• If user is off-campus, confirm they have entered the login credentials correctly per screenshot above (username as username; domain field salisbury)
• Confirm user is setup correctly inside the Sonia application (this user setup is done by the Social Work department, Traci Johnson)

• If user is off-campus, they are typing password in to the login prompt and have entered the wrong password
• If user is on-campus, they may have changed password recently and need to reboot

...

• If Security ID = NULL SID, Account Name = username, Account Domain = SALISBURY, EventCode = 4625 with action=failure  ---- probably means invalid password entered by user.  Note: "badPasswordTime" attribute in AD will NOT reflect the failed login timestamp.

Client install

• Visit https://sonia.salisbury.edu/Sonia/ and click "Install", then click "Install" again on the Application Install - Security Warning screen.
