Our Phish Alert Report program supports Windows, MacOS, Office 365,  as well as all mobile devices that are using Office Outlook app (not supported by native mail apps on mobile devices).

It is automatically installed on SU devices in Outlook and in the Microsoft 365 Outlook App.

In the Outlook client you can click on the Phish Alert Report icon shown in the ribbon.

In the Outlook Web App you can report 2 different ways: right click on the email choose Security Options and Phishing or open the email and click on the 3 dots in the top right corner then choose Phish Alert.

In the Outlook Mobile App open the email and click on the three dots in the top right corner then select Phish Alert from the pop up box.

When you select Phish Alert it automatically sends an email to phishingsubmission@salisbury.edu with an attachment of the questionable email.

The original email is removed for your inbox and is only viewable as an attachment in the email mentioned above.

You will also receive the below pop up when completed.

If you are attempting to report a phishing email from an email app other than Outlook, like Windows Mail or the Apple Mail app, you can directly forward the phishing email to aa1e1c2d-c67a-41f6-96dd-7e4cecdf956d@phisher.knowbe4.com.  Although this email address looks suspicious it is used to report phishing attempts directly.

If you receive a phishing via SMS text, also called smishing, please report via your carrier.  On Apple devices you can report these messages by selecting Report Junk below the text message.  On an Android you will select more options then Block and Report Spam.  For more information about smishing see https://consumer.ftc.gov/articles/how-recognize-and-report-spam-text-messages.
