Multi-factor authentication adds a second layer of security to your Salisbury University accounts. Verifying your identity using a second factor (like your phone or other mobile device) prevents anyone but you from logging in, even if they know your password. All SU faculty, staff, and students must use DUO (Multi-Factor Authentication) as a second layer of security to your account.
New faculty and staff will be prompted to start DUO set up on their first login.
New students will be prompted to start DUO set up process once they have fully matriculated and have the role of student.
To opt in to DUO as a new user please complete the steps below.
Go to https://support.salisbury.edu to complete an online ticket request.
Login with your SU username and password.
Select Technology Support Center from the list of available support centers if prompted.
With Logins, Accounts, and Access selected from the Request Type column select Opt in to DUO Authentication
Your name will be shown in the box labeled Raise this request on behalf of. Click Create to Opt in to DUO.
The following day when logging in to an SU application such as GullNet or MyClasses you will receive a prompt to Set Up DUO.
