Note:  Faculty wanting to create quizzes and tests in MyClasses that use Lockdown Browser must install the Respondus application to create that content.  This is a different install than the Lockdown Browser.

Students:

To install LockDown Browser:

- Log into https://MyClasses.Salisbury.edu and navigate to the exam that requires LockDown Browser

- Select the link for downloading and installing LockDown Browser

The system should automatically detect which operating system you are using and direct you to the download for your appropriate system.

- From a Chromebook you will be directed to the Chrome web store, select “Add to Chrome” to install the LockDown Browser Extension.

- From an iPad you will be directed to the App store to download the Lockdown Browser App.

Alternatively you can go to https://www.salisbury.edu/administration/academic-affairs/instructional-design-delivery/instructional-software/respondus-lockdown.aspx and select Install LockDown Browser.

For iPads the instructor must enable the option for the test to be taken with these devices.  It is up to the processor if they would like to use this option.

To use LockDown Browser:

-Open the Lockdown Browser application from the icon (see below) which then automatically opens a login page to MyClasses https://MyClasses.Salisbury.edu

Windows         MacOS

-Login with your SU username and password then proceed to the course and test/quiz.

**Note:   To take quizzes and tests that require Lockdown Browser, you much open the Lockdown Browser.   Opening MyClasses from normal browsers like Edge, Chrome, or Safari will not allow you to open a quiz or test that requires Lockdown Browser.
