- Open OneNote and if you haven't already, sign into your OneDrive . For students, use your SU account/email for your Office365 account. For faculty, you will need to use a Microsoft account (see below).account at https://www.office.com and select OneNote
- Open the notebook you wish to share.
- Click File and then click Share.
If you haven't logged into your Microsoft/Office 365 account yet, you can do so through the Account option in this menu. Then click Share. - You have some options to share: Share with People/Invite People; Get a Sharing Link; Share With Meeting.

In order for faculty to use the OneNote sharing capabilities, they will need to create a Microsoft account. At the time of writing for this guide, faculty accounts do not have OneDrive as part of their Office365 offering, only Microsoft Office. |

Owner Setup
- Type email addresses of the people you wish to share with.
- Use the Can edit drop down to choose if you want them to edit (Can edit) or just view (Can view).
- Include a personal message to the person or people you're sharing your document with.
- Click Share.
- See the Shared with list to see who has permission to edit and view the Notebook. You can change permissions or remove sharing by right-clicking the name and choosing from the right-click menu.

- The recipient will need to copy and paste the link that you sent them by email into a web browser.
- The file will open on OneDrive Online.
