**Note:  As of 10/29/2020, there is a Beta install of Respondus Lockdown browser for Chromebooks.  

Students:

Installing LockDown Browser to a Chromebook is easy.  

 - Log into the Chromebook and start Google Chrome- Log into Canvas and navigate to the exam that requires LockDown Browser

- Select the link for downloading and installing LockDown Browser

The system should automatically detect which operating system you are using and direct you to the download for your appropriate system.

- From a Chromebook you will be directed to the Chrome web store, select “Add to Chrome” to install the LockDown Browser Extension.

- From an iPad you will be directed to the App store to download the Lockdown Browser App.

- Note: For Chromebooks and iPads the instructor must enable the option for the test to be taken with these devices.  It is up to the processor if they would like to use this option.   Note: during the beta, this extension will only work with quizzes an instructor has enabled for use with LockDown Browser for ChromebookMore information is available here:  https://support.respondus.com/support/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/586
